Cherry with two happy guests at Zen Head Spa in South Surrey

If you have never had a head spa, you are in good company. Plenty of people walk into Zen Head Spa in South Surrey without really knowing what to expect, and they walk out talking about it for days. Cherry leads the spa and does the treatments, her husband Andy works right alongside her, and together they have built a small, quiet spa where the whole hour is about you.

A Head Spa in South Surrey Built for Slowing Down

Cherry and Andy moved to Surrey from Saskatoon about a year ago. Cherry and Andy had already been working at a head spa there, so when they arrived they knew exactly what they wanted to open. They started small on purpose, renting a private room inside a salon, with two treatment beds and a calm space that clients keep describing as peaceful, clean and beautiful.

Cherry’s view of why people come is simple. Most of us work hard, sit at a computer all day and carry a lot in our heads. A head spa is still new to many people here, so a lot of first timers book just to see what it is like. By the end, Cherry says, almost everyone is happy, calmer and lighter than when they came in.

What Happens at Your First Head Spa Visit

Before your session you get a short form that takes about thirty seconds. It asks what you are hoping for today: pure relaxation, attention to a tight neck or shoulders, or something else entirely. Andy says this is the heart of how they work: it is how they shape the treatment around you instead of running everyone through the same routine. If you sit at a desk all week and your shoulders feel it, say so. If you just want to switch off, say that.

Then you lie back and the session begins: scalp cleansing, a slow and gentle scalp massage, soothing water and warm steam. Reviewers talk about how gentle the hands are, how soft and fresh their hair feels afterwards, and how they were so relaxed they fell asleep. Some mention being served tea during the session. Small touches like these show up again and again, along with staff waiting outside to greet guests when they arrive.

Head Spa Packages and Add Ons

The menu is easy to read. There are four Zen head spa packages, booked online through Dash Booking:

  • Basic Zen Head Spa: about 45 minutes, a good first try
  • Signature Zen Head Spa: one hour
  • Deluxe Zen Head Spa: an hour and a quarter
  • Platinum Zen Head Spa: the full 90 minute experience, the one reviewers rave about most

You can also add facials, hot stone massage and an herbal pack, and one regular says the hot stone and herbal pack add on is worth it. Clients mention the prices often, and the words they use are “great” and “reasonable.”

If you come back, they take care of you for it. Returning guests get a discount, and sometimes Cherry and Andy upgrade them to the next package up, from Signature to Deluxe or from Deluxe to Platinum.

A Spa Day to Share With Someone

With two beds in the room, Zen Head Spa works well for two people at once. Reviews are full of pairs: someone treating their mom for Mother’s Day, a parent and daughter on the Platinum package together, friends booking side by side, couples spending an afternoon off together. Andy says wives often bring their husbands in as a birthday gift, and gift certificates are a popular present for people who have never been to a spa before.

Kindness That Goes Past the Treatment Room

What stands out in the reviews is not only the treatment, but how people are treated. One guest left a necklace and earrings behind after a session, and the team drove them to her home the next day. Another group locked their keys in the car, arrived late, and was welcomed anyway while they waited for roadside help. Clients describe the team as sweet, warm, attentive and honest, and several say they have tried other head spas and like this one best.

Growing Into a Bigger Space

Zen Head Spa opened in spring 2026 and already has a full page of five star reviews. The one thing people ask for that Cherry and Andy cannot offer yet is room for three or four guests at once. So they are now looking for a bigger space to open a larger spa, somewhere central and easy to reach from Surrey and the surrounding area. For now, it is two beds in a quiet room with Cherry and Andy’s hands, and from what clients say, that is more than enough.
